Lesson of the day: When u fall, get back up again... Couple scraped knees never stopped anyone.

Running can be a contact sport if you're not careful.

This morning leisure jog turned into a trip and fall. Considering the last run was a long one (post coming soon) we were advised to try and stay off the concrete.

So I decided to run the little trail around the park. Its a small trail and I'd noticed a lot of twigs, rocks and tree knots but figured I'd be careful. The final piece, when I was just about to wrap the trail to hit concrete again- ROCK!

Hands first, both knees scraped up- but I'm checking if alls in order. A girl I run with had a nasty fall last week and sprained her ankle so I was immediately checking everything. Seemed all good so back up again. The parks and rec guy was like, "don't give up!" (Cue Rob Schneider: 'You can DO it!') And I walked it off and tried to jog again but my knee HURT. It wasn't the scrape. So- home and easy...

I have to run sprints tomorrow w my girl k in the park so- be easy today and attack em tomorrow.

Lesson of the day: Scraped knees never stopped anyone. When you run a new trail, you may get new perspective, but watch out for hurdles along the way, even when you can see the finish.
